How to transition to natural
Here are a couple of tips to help you on your natural hair journey. As many of us who decide to go natural search the web for information on How and What to do next. This also can help those of you who are already natural but been using excessive heat & have heat damage. I’m going to list some of the major things that can help you in this process.
Stop relaxing your hair.
Stop using direct heat on your hair like Flatirons and blow-drying your hair.
Use products free of sulfate, mineral oils, drying alcohols, and silicones.
Protected hair while sleeping by using a satin scarf, bonnet or pillowcase.
Be aware of the ”Line of Demarcation” its the point where the relaxed hair & new growth meets. It’s very fragile when detangling very gently.
Make a hair regimen, Cleanse, Condition, Moisturized, and Style. Keep track of products that work and don’t work.
Get regular trims. You can gradually cut off the relaxed hair.
Learning your porosity will help you understand what your hair needs.
